Carol is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Life Coach though Life Mentoring School. She launched Confident Hope Counseling and Life Coaching (Carol Frey, LLC) in August 2022. She earned her Master’s Degree from Slippery Rock University in Community Counseling in 2014 after having being on the staff of a campus non-profit for 20 years.  Carol also has a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Wright state University in Dayton, Ohio.

Carol is passionate about helping adolescents, college students and adults in all stages of life to reach their full potential by assisting them in healing from past wounds and developing healthy patterns for the future. She is experienced in treating a wide variety of mental health issues and has helped her clients heal from depression, anxiety, PSTD, OCD, relational conflicts and trauma related conditions. As well, Carol has coached clients toward reaching goals of significant weight loss, relationship resolutions, career transitions and reaching other personal goals.

Carol’s approach is client-client centered, trusting that each person is the hero in their own journey. She partnered with them as a guide to explore their past and move toward a more fulfilling future. She utilizes Cognitive Behavioral therapy, EMDR, Internal Family Systems and solution-focused coaching techniques. Through this unique combination, her clients experience results and become equipped to do their own work between sessions and even after therapy is complete. She believes in working herself out of a job by teaching her clients the skills they need to regulate emotions, to implement healthy coping strategies and to practice self-coaching.

Carol has been married to Michael for over 30 years and the proud mom of 4 amazing adults. She currently resides in Grove City, PA and sees clients from her beautiful home office or online.
